Well, after a lot of finding other things I'd rather do, I finally finished pulling up the rest of the grass for the new garden yesterday. Another 3 hours of work, but it is done. I think it is about 18x5 feet?? I should measure it, ha! Put together the raised garden bed walls and then did a mock up with the arch and raised garden to see where I wanted to position everything. After work today I can haul everything I pulled to the compost site and then get some free dirt to fill the raised bed. That will take several trips this week hauling it in bins and pails. I still need to level it. And I still need to buy the plants.
But earlier yesterday, dog and I went exploring on a part of Como Park that I'd never been to--it was an outdoor classroom section with both paved and gravel paths. Very quiet and removed from the traffic and people of the zoo and lake. I saw lots of things in bloom, including honeysuckle bushes, Jacob's Ladder,

Black currant
And redbud (Minnesota strain);
(I don't like these large pictures, but I also don't like the formatting if I left or right side them, at least how it appears on my phone.)
I walked past the public pool too. They have water exercise classes at 7pm (once the pool opens in June), so I should look into that. It fits my schedule. And I could ride my bike there.
But the real highlight of my Sunday was dinner. I wrapped that shredded chicken thigh meat in a romaine lettuce leaf with tomato, green onion, cheese, and elote. It was sooo good!! So good that it was like eating restaurant food! It's not very often when I make something that I absolutely love!
