slow roast
the powers that be that are in control of the climate here are living in their own little world. i'm dressed for the cold, because it's cold outside. the heat is cranked up and i'm about ready to either pass out or throw up. i feel a little bit of a headache coming on. in the warmer months, i'm dressed appropriately because it's hot outside. but the a/c is cranked up so much so that i need to have a sweater and socks (if i wear sandals).

this may seem like a minor gripe but it really affects how i work and my attitude. i can't concentrate when it's too hot or too cold. i find it irritating and frustrating that i have no control over the temp in the office. it's bad enough there are no windows...i hate being at the mercy of other folk.

one of the flourescent lights is out and i'm not even going to alert anyone about it. these lights sap the energy out of me anyway.

my christmas cactus is getting ready to bloom!!! sheesh, i think i've had this plant for at least 2 years. when i first got it, it had blooms and then it didn't bloom again until now. i can't wait. my african violet is blooming again as is my shamrock plant. what i'd really really like is a jade plant. but i've got too many plants as it is and i really don't have room for another one unless i put another hanging plant hook in the livingroom ceiling. i've got a nice spider plant going here at work.

plant life, windows, sunshine, blue sky, and appropriate air temps...all of these things affect workers. they make a difference. i have to wonder what company morale would be if every employee had access to at least 2 of these things... oh yeah, that's why the bigwigs have corner offices...with windows etc...

when is the little guy/gal ever going to get a decent break?

wxpn rocks! it's part of my sunday morning ritual after i've done the shopping or gone running, i come home, make breakfast...grab the funnies from the sunday paper and tune into a flawless playlist. ;-))

i tune in every now and then during the week, but it's never like it is on saturday or sunday morning (late morning).

Sleepy Hollow is *almost* my favorite time of station. It's a shame the way they keep jerking around Gene Shay's time slot, but whatever time his show is on remains my favorite. Which means, for the time being, Sunday evening is prime XPN time.

I'm with you all the way re: surroundings are important. I can't stand being with out a view to outdoors and the temp business would drive me right up a wall.

It's comforting to know I'm not going to hell or get buried in poop =)
