time for ms. kitkat to get her ticker checked. i'm running out of one of her meds and the refills are done...so, it's check-up time. hopefully she hasn't gotten worse. if she gets the okay, they'll clean/repair etc. etc. her choppers too! i get a little nervous thinking about that though. she'll have to be put under anesthesia and there's always somewhat of a risk but especially for a pet with heart issues. i do trust the Vet. she's cream of the crop. i always look for hospitals that are part of AAHA (american animal hosp. association)and i really lucked out finding this particular place. didn't realize just how well known this doc was until it was pointed out to me.

i wish i could just stay and watch/help. i loved my stint of 3 days working with the heart docs at the vet hospital. it is an absolutely amazing feeling to see a working heart on a monitor. to watch as the doc points out the troubled areas. fascinating.

today is somewhat of a gray but warm day. perfect halloweeny kind of day. still in a pretty good mood. still don't know why. still appreciate it. i finally finished The Da Vinci Code..stretched it out as long as i could. i don't like finishing books anywhere but in bed. the end of a story, say goodnight! what next? i may read Dan Brown's "Angels and Demons". still up in the air about going to see Patti Smith who'll be in town this week. originally the news said she'd be playing some of her music, but what i heard today was that she would be reading and discussing her poetry...and perform solo and with her band on the 16th... still undecided.

heard really funny commentary on Jessica Simpson's stint on Letterman last night. apparently she thinks buffalo wings come from freakin' buffaloes...
HA! okay! but then again, she also thought chicken of the sea was chicken in a can... ;-)
