You may run into a great deal of frustration if you try to fight against the current circumstances, dear Virgo. The key for you now is to take whatever situations you may be in and simply make the best out of them. Whining and moping about your position will not make things any better. You have great gifts to be proud of and thankful for, so don't throw them away by thinking that you have no outlet for them. Create your own reality.

i'm ready for fall weather. the past few days have been muggy. all in all, it's been a pretty lousy weathered year. lots of snow dumped on us, cold weather up until June, and then the heat and humidity...and lots of rain. very few low humidity 80 degree weathered days.

we are seriously screwing ourselves and this planet.

here's hoping we have a relatively mild winter and decent spring...not that we deserve it.

reading/watching too much of the news. it's getting me down. lots of tragic deaths. one in particular was of a little girl and her siblings. she was only 3 and found pinned between a mattress and wall a victim of brutal abuse.

one of the suspects is now pleading that he has mental problems and is/was on prescription medicine... if he was on meds, they sure as hell weren't working. if he wasn't taking his meds, his ass should make a permanent dent in a jail cell (not that it shouldn't anyway).

the sad thing is that the two suspects (one man and one woman) weren't even the children's parents. the mother left her kids with these ill equipped and troubled people. her ass should make that dent too. more reason for me to believe that people should be required to get a degree to have children. if you fail, you can't have kids. some shelters do background checks of people wishing to adopt animals. it's a shame that child protective agency staff are often overworked, underpaid and have to deal with massive red tape.

meanwhile somewhere out there, some idiot is complaining about the amount of sugar added to their gourmet coffee...
