grams...the amount i consumed yesterday would probably be staggering if i actually had the will to sit down and calculate...all week i've been craving pizza. it's the new yorker in me screaming for that cheese, thin crust, and sauce that would make any italian grandma cry with pride. all week, i've fought that great pizza demon back, filling that emptiness with low-carb wheat bread that i pretended didn't taste like styrofoam (even toasted and buttered). i steamed veggies, i nuked garden burgers, i slapped on a slice of sharp new york cheddar, but it just couldn't do the job i knew Pizza would do...so...
yesterday, i broke down and ordered a cheese pizza, a coke, and for dessert????
(and lordy i'm ashamed) mike&ikes.
mind you, i started my day consuming a fudge brownie and regular cup of joe. throw in that cinnamon raisin bagel i neglected to inform y'all about too...

i know there is a fat girl trying to get out here. she wants to load up on chocolate covered oreos and fig newtons and pizza... eggplant parmagiana heroes, and boxes of milk duds...

i have to say, what the hell is going on with all of this FBI raiding city government offices crap??? manoman. this mayoral election is proving to be a really ugly one. unfortunately i didn't register in time, so i can't vote, but if i could? i'd vote for myself. the other two are really beginning to look like those black furry animals with a white stripe down the back...someone should get rid of this damned wage tax too!

Heck, if they'd get rid of the city wage tax I'd consider looking for a job in the city again.
What I don't get is why they can't find a decent candidate to run for mayer. It isn't like there's a shortage of appropriate choices in Philly, but somehow the right guys never end up on the ballot.
Were you around Philly during the A.P.P.L. days? The Anti-Pearlman poster League took matters into their own hands when a now deceased political candidate consistently left his apparantly non-biodegradable posters up for months/years after elections. Rather than take the posters down, they rather artistically defaced them. I remember one in Germantown that put Mickey Mouse ears on his picture - it was a really professional job.
Blast, now I have to go out on the web and see if I can find any pictures of A.P.P.L.'s defacements.

i'm freakin' only a few blocks from living on the side that doesn't have to pay wage taxes...that truly pisses me off. no, i don't think i was around for the poster defacing. think about it, who the heck would want to clean up the mess that is the city of philadelphia?

the best eggplant parm i EVER had was from a little place outside of nyc...i can actually remember how great it tasted...those guys were Sicilian!
