okay, someone at one of our local radio stations is having some warped fun by playing christmas songs today... (here comes santa claus just finished!) the gimmick is to give listeners some relief from this sticky, hot weather we've been having lately.

this is about as political as i'll get here...but i think i share with tons of people the sentiment of being supremely freakin' pissed to high hell that our president and his minions fabricated bogus claims in order to attack Iraq. he didn't get my vote the first time around, and he sure as hell ain't gettin' it in the next election. i'm barely able to watch any news on tv. in fact, tv in general has turned into a continuous assault on my intelligence.

today i caught a rare glimpse of Mr. Karma dealing out the goods to those who thought they could give him the slip. it was an honor. really! and a long time coming.

renewed the book "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Nancy Roach. i have to say, it's an awesome read. she mixes humor with fact. i highly recommend it.

-watched Persuasion again. i guess i'm on somewhat of an Austen kick.
-started studying for my permit. i hate that i have to learn to drive. reading about the guy who hit someone and drove home with a head and torso in his windshield (he apparently severed the poor man's legs when he hit him) doesn't exactly give me any freakin' confidence in the drivers i'll have to share the road with.

why can't we go back to the horse and buggy?
