1989
a college friend and i stood on line at the delacorte theatre in central park (nyc) for free tickets to catch shakespeare in the park. the play was "twelfth night", i don't remember all of the actors but here are the ones i do remember:
michelle pfeiffer, mary elizabeth mastrantonio, john amos, jeff goldblum and gregory hines. not too shabby for a free play in a great and small theatre where there are no bad seats.

i wish i could have gotten to see him tap the entire evening. Mr. Hines did throw in a few tap steps here and there and managed to jazz-up the bard's work. there was a lucky member of the audience that he pulled up and danced with.
it was pretty damned cool. the one and only time i caught a shakespeare in the park play.
i bet the joint is jumping upstairs... RIP.

by the way, thank you for commending my volunteer work. sitting on the floor among a roomful of cats can be sooo peaceful. lately, it makes me kinda sad, though. everything does.
