weatherwise, it's dark and grey out there, but no rain so far. i think i'll head home instead of the gym. have to say, though, i liked how the sky looked this morning. the gray puffy clouds were rolling along pretty quickly. it always reminds me of Georgia O'Keefe's "Sky Above Clouds".

i think i need to immerse myself in some sort of artistic environment, even if it's going to see a film...thinking about going to see American Splendor. there's this little old fashioned theater here that offers reasonable matinee prices and shows lots of indy films. maybe saturday night...

currently reading, "The Coffee Trader" by David Liss
checked out: "Burnt by the Sun" from the library.
on hold: "The Da Vinci Code" (everyone and their mother has a hold on this book)

i miss dance class. i could use a good technique class with live musicians. art and medicine. you can't really flub your way through either. if you have no technique, if you suck at moving, it shows. if you don't know your shit, you can't fool your way through a medical career whether it's human medicine or veterinary medicine.

actually if you have character, you wouldn't want to fool your way through anything.
