i couldn't go. my workplace had a gathering at the flag pole to observe a moment of silence.

i'm sitting here writing this and listening to dave matthew's everyday. it's a trigger. a beautiful song, gorgeous idea. and where are we today? knee deep in the mire, bills, debt, wal-mart ads, and dumb television programs...

move on. that's what we've all done isn't it? we've gone back to work, school, and harassing the neighbor's dog. we've hugged and kissed strangers, we've sent nasty gossipy emails and cut people off on the highway...
~~~
death is a given. love sure the hell isn't.
get to the gym, start allover again. cut the cookies out. drink more orange juice. try to cut the cloves out. dance around the apartment more. kiss my cats on the top of their heads. mail those environmental petitions to the big white house. take a walk around the neighborhood and bring my digital camera. enjoy the beautiful blue september day, try not to take it for granted i am here.
all you need is,
all you want it
all you need is
love
Stop to enjoy things and don't take anything for granted. That's what I am learning most in the aftermath of my marriage.
There's a quote by John Lennon:
Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.
So true...
