catch them at the edge, shush them towards the water. standing in the road, i play the goose. i know better though, i know cars hurt. me and jeannette. we were the geese this morning. she missed her bus, i nearly got hit. they turned the corner and herded themselves towards the gap in the fence. today they are safe, tomorrow never knows...

we can wipe you out, anytime rh

if only i could afford a bad habit. if only i could be unaware...of dangers lurking 'round every corner, and the sadness of the moon. fireworks are beautiful but they don't much matter when you're rummaging through garbage cans, when you've hit the end of your rope. little eyes look wanting, dirty little hands help sort. but aren't the roman candles special? don't i wave my flag well?

we're backdrifters rh

there's enough for everyone, the problem is we don't share.

Fair enough, but you don't get to take the weight of the world's sins on your shoulders. As I see it, you're one of the good guys, and you are making a difference just by living a good-guy-life.

Just ask your cats if you don't believe me.
