i'll quote one of my dear friends who once said, "My skin should hum when my lover is sitting next to me, if that doesn't happen why bother with love?" i kinda tend to agree. love is that mischievous cell that floats along with the rbc's and wbc's. it's that deep affection that i saw between my parents after 53 years of marriage. even after all of those years, my dad still told the story of the first time he saw my mom walking on a dirt road to school, her thin legs tanned and sea green eyes that sealed the deal. he told it with a twinkle no less sparkly than the one in my mom's eyes as we 3 sat at the kitchen table drinking coffee, eating toast...

love changes through time, but damn it if it doesn't start out better than the big bang...
