another pedestrian killed. he got hit crossing the road by the first car and then was hit by a second car. this is the second hit and run i've read where the person was hit by two cars.

dedided to do a search on hit and runs and found an article about a local intersection that read:

How many drivers yielded to pedestrians in the crosswalk, as the law requires? Zero.

How many pedestrians had to yield to motorists? Forty

this is the story of my life. i'm only 3 blocks from the bus stop (a good 10 minute walk) but it turns into 20 minute walk, sometimes longer because all we've got in my neighborhood are 4-way stop signs and a whole helluva lot of drivers that are way too self absorbed. in pouring rain, carrying groceries and still, these morons are too important to let me cross. can't even count how many times i've been on some car's hitlist. usually those making left turns and yacking away on the cellphone.

it'll only get worse. most of this country has become fat-assed junkfood eating, littering and "it's the ME show" speeding and making-up-roadrules-as you-go, road-raging, animal killers, people killers, kind of drivers.

there are few things i vehemently abhor:
cars
bullys,
and litterbugs.
