and you've done your share of living and life has done its share on you. you tried not to take it to heart, god knows you pushed yourself through. the moving, the hustling to work and back, the learning, the payments, family and loves. but who has time to compare with an itemized life? accumulation never mattered, you never gave a damn about owning things. it's a desperate attempt to cushion a sense of loneliness. i'd rather face it dead on. what does a brand new chair matter, when you're dying secretly inside? shoes. give me sensible shoes. comfortable and dependable. shoes that don't insult my intelligence or my lumbar vertebrae. shoes to walk you away.
