sunny today, hasn't been for days. it's been cold and wet and rainy, grey clouds everywhere. disappointed travelers locked up in hotel rooms, boardwalk vendors, pockets lined with lint. no lollipop'd children, no walking ice cream cones, no brightly colored swimsuits to decorate the sand.

but i spied a ray of light, a string from heaven high. it's busy shining off her gown, and someone's family out there.
