i finished "A Working Stiff's Manifesto". what a funny book. if i learned anything, it's that i'll NEVER go to Alaska looking for work. i did know a group of college grads who decided to all go (lured by the money)to gut fish. after reading this book, i can't help but wonder what happened to them... i'm slacking on reading "The Art of Happiness at Work" partly because i know all too well there is no happiness to be found in my present situation. it's too far gone, the line was crossed miles ago. mantra: check the classifieds...
going into the city today. i have to mail a long overdue package.

i don't think we could have asked for a more beautiful weekend than this one. it is cool, clear, bright and sunny. absolutely wonderful out there. rainy, humid days make days like today all the more sweeter. perhaps Mars will be visible tonight. that'd be cool!

checked the greenplastic website and found out that Radiohead and Sigur Ros will be composing and performing music for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company benefit at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music). manoman. that would be cool to go to. i think the last time i saw the Cunningham Dance Company perform was for the renovation of Grand Central Station a long long time ago...
anyhow, it's too damned gorgeous to sit here at a computer indoors. shower, dress and i'm outta here...
(trying to be more positive today. may even go to church, i have a soft spot for the Franciscan monks who run St. John the Evangelist downtown.)
