I do have to admit that that I have not done a dialysis update in a very long time. The fact is, I haven’t done any journaling in a while except on an occasional since December 7th and 8th. That’s okay, though. I deserved a little vacation from journaling. The holidays between Thanksgiving and New Year’s can be a busy and emotional time for some people. Yes, anxiety and emotion can run high for me at that time of the year. I’m This last year especially because my parents, who recently moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from Bella Vista, Arkansas about three years ago I believe——I forgot when NOW! to be very honest and truthful. Anyway, being back to the dialysis clinic until the 4th week of January is the plan to get into the routine of doing home dialysis again, but waiting is an issue for me right now to be very honest with you and myself. I am getting ng frustrated with the waiting game again! I told Jackie that if we do start up soon, we might as well return the machine at home back to where the machine came from. Jackie said that we will be getting back to home dialysis in the second part of February. I can’t wait and will NOT believe it until we get back to the routine we have. Another UGH!
Anyway, on Tuesday, since a ride was NOT scheduled for the day, and it being a Tuesday, I took the city bus to and from dialysis bthat day. It was an experience I took with pleasure all by myself and without my caregivers with me, and no anxiety whatsoever. I was one happy woman. Also, I learned, since my labs and have been good, my time from 3 hours has been knocked down to 2 hours and 45 minutes. Woohoo! I am one happy woman/person. I felt very independent. The only thing I did not care for was the time I got home—at 4:45 pm. because of the time. At least I goyhome before it got real dark. I will not do it again unless I have to. I was even very grateful that there were no tenants out smoking in the front when I got off the bus. I, personally, find it very disturbing and disgusting, anyway, lol. Also, my catheter would run very good for the first hour of treatment on Tuesday and today (Saturday), but I did not give up as long as the nurse Michelle and the techs did not give up on Mr or my catheter. Yeah, my catheter has been giving us a bit of trouble this week. If I have to have it replaced, so be it and will be done, too!!! Yet, riding the bus was great! Hehehe…
As for the day itself, I had a great day!

I'm new to city living/public transportation, but feel good every time I do take the bus instead of a car. Hope the home dialysis for you will happen as planned.
At the rate of the cost of gas these days, I am surprised 😳 to see so many drivers out there! I hope to see dialysis done at home in mid February.
