Remembering A Time When I Was In School Before and During College Days…

Move over July 2025, it’s August 2025’s turn to shine for 31 days now. Woohoo, weather will start to become cooler as the season Fall (capitalized on purpose here) on its way in a few weeks. Also, kids will be returning to school in about a month from their Summer (capitalized on purpose here) break. I don’t have kids, but I am glad that school will resume for all kiddos in this city and surrounding areas of Milton, Egerton, Beloit, and Janesville (here). I am 100% behind education and for those who have dropped out of high school go back to college to get their Graduate Degree later in life. My grandfather (maternal) was a teacher and sports coach, my mom got her college degree as a teacher for grade school kids and middle schoolers at age 44 years. I had difficulty getting my accounting degree at Blackhawk Technical College so, I went to UOPhx and got my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in accounting. I failed at getting my associate degree at BTC. I will NOT attempt to do so. I spent from 1991 to 2010 getting my schooling after high school out of the way. I am done with schooling although I am learning something new everyday of the week as I continue living my years on the earth here today. Education is supported by me at 100%+ in my life and book.

Remembering My School Days

When it came to my days in school, I either liked it or disliked it through the years. When I went through my school days in middle and high school, I had more difficulty with the kids, my peers picking on me, teasing and bullying me because I had a physical disability that was noticeable and my learning ability was slower in some classes. In middle and high school, I did not like writing essays and papers unless it was on subjects of interest. In high school, I did not do algebra until my senior year of high school and I had a lot of trouble with grasping it until I took pre-algebra at U-Rock College in my city with Tim Hourigan in the special education program there. He made pre-algebra fun and I realized I had a love for numbers, so I took algebra at BTC for two semesters to grasp the different kinds of formulas that are used in life in the workplace and everyday life we don’t always realize is being used in the workplace and environment today. I even tried grasping calculus at U-Rock, but all the formulas in calculus were not being grasped at all. No, math past algebra.  Also, writing papers for UOPhx was fun and I couldn’t wait to write more as I continued to take my general classes online at home. I even found that being a leader for a team was fun, too, because I had very patient followers.  I thought I was a follower and not leader material because I was more shy and paranoid in my school days before college, lol. School was either fun or grueling in my life and book. When it came to going to school for 8 hours of my day was better than staying home with parents who seem to not be happy with me a lot because I was your typical teenager who caused a bit of grief for her parents. My dad told me in my 20s that I was on my own two feet at a very young age he gathered through my days of growing up. Hey, due to my handicap called cerebral palsy CP), I didn’t walk until I was 3 years old and ready, and I did not ride a 2-wheeled bicycle until I was 9 years old because I was not interested in learning how to ride a bike until I was in second grade.
