Dental Appointment Day

Today I had an appointment with my dentist at 10 am this morning, and when I got there, ilearned Dr. McDonald is leaving Healthnet, and met my new dentist today. So, I ended up getting more pictures done, and we consulted with the new dentist that all my top teeth will be pulled, and if Dr. Blocker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin chooses to pull all of my bottom teeth as well, Jackie and I will agree to it. We will wait and see if Jackie can get a hold of the dental office to make an appointment with Dr. Blocker. Jackie and I were impressed with Dr. Blocker getting the teeth he wanted pulled out. So… my appointment was with someone new, and arrangements had been made that will delay my smile coming back into full swing a little later than planned now. Due to the fact that I am looking into a second kidney transplant since March 1988, I have to admit that losing more teeth or all of them is not going to be an emotional up and down battle for me at this point in my life in the nearest future. I do know, this much, that if I do lose ALL of my teeth in the next few weeks, it is going to be soft foods for a while unfortunately. It is going to be something to get used to for a while. I can do this. It’s not that I could not take care of my teeth the past three to four years. I’ve taken some meds that cause teeth to get weak since 1988 that have caused my teeth to weaken.

Pamper Time

Due to the fact that Jackie was gone for the dates of July 18th - July 26, 2025, I did not get my nails done again until today, and it has been over a month since I had my nails done up nicely. The nail polish was completely off and my nails are short again, so with a blue color that changes to a lighter blue was chosen for me as my color(s) for the month of August. I chose a color changing color to be blue this time with a sparkle color being a purple mixed with some pink I it. Pink and purple are two of my favorite colors together, too, and Jacque, my nail stylist, told me that I have blue in my hair. While my nails were being prepped to the end of the session, my caregiver Debbie met me at the nail place and walked home from me after she got to my place and walked from 208 N Main to The Hodge Podge building, to meet me. I thought I was going to drive home in my power chair and meet her at Garden Court, but with her coming to walk with me home was a wonderful surprise. Jackie was gone to her nail appointment and when I got home and in bed for the rest of the afternoon, she got back here after her appointment and made sure I was settled and had snacks and water. All was good. I was ready to spend the rest of the day watching tv, reading, and journaling. 

Because Jackie had an appointment, she asked Deb to help me get in and in bed for her. Deb readily agreed. Okay, Deb was to have the day off. I had no problem with that because between Jackie and Debbie, those two ladies I trust in my home. While living here at Garden Court, I haven’t had people in my home that didn’t steal any of my valuables from my home. Yeah, I have had money stolen, but not other valuables. Anyway, today was my pampering day.

A Good Day

 It was a good day despite the fact it rained and drizzled all day. Yes, it was cloudy and went from morning to evening today, but it was a great day. I had two different appointments today that made my day a busy day all day long. Even a cloudy day did not overshadow my day and mood. I did not get a lot done, but I didn’t miss my pampering session because it was wet and drizzling after 8 am this morning when I first appointment at 10 am, and my nail appointment at 1 pm. I feel I had a busy day that I was ready for bed by 2:45 pm today.
