A Midnight Entry Tonight
Mon Aug 12 2024

Before I go to sleep after midnight here in Wisconsin, I have to admit that having Dear Diary back to its former glory after 25 years, has been, in my opinion, super! I love the idea of having different diary titles to KEEP my thoughts in order! Woohoo, Dear Diary Is Back! is one diary title that will stay. Even though I have another title that will be rarely used now, it will not be deleted because some entries have been migrated from my ksmiley diary. Otherwise DD will be what I create from this day forward.

Also, I noticed, as Steve B continues to make Dear Diary workable, I will continue to work with my diary/blog here. I love to write in a journal for better health and for my wellbeing. It helps and I am NOT the only human being that deals with raw emotions at times. In fact, I dealt with an emotional of mind earlier in the evening I will write about later. Yes, I had gotten upset. Thankfully, it was for a few mu of a meltdown. My meltdowns have become shorter these days. I will explain later today.

I also found journaling one's thoughts is being helpful. Some things could be unclear when they are brewing as random thoughts in mind, but once trying to pin them with the words, everything becomes clearer. DD is one of those places that makes it so easy and relaxed to do emotional unloading. Also, easy to find like-minded people from all corners of the World, which is much harder in physical realms.

I agree with you and it does help a lot.

Don't forget, for those times where entries might be a little too personal to share, but you still want them out of your head, take the tick out of the Public box. Or, as a Plus Member you can create an entirely private diary for that sort of thing too.

What I find too personal does not get shared with my ‘public’ journaling. I am good at censoring as my thoughts in my head. I may say obscenities out loud at time in public at times, but when I get my feelings out verbally, I do it in private with no one around except my fur babies. The Karnopp family were farmers and country folk growing up and my dad was a police officer back in a day in the City of Janesville, and helped his brothers and sister, and still does help although farming is not done anymore. My aunts and uncles have retired from milking, but still plant crops and such. Everyone has slowed down to health issues and scares, and age, but there is farming still going on. My dad just told me the other day that he has to slow down because one arm is giving him trouble. He is 82 now and it’s not easy for him because he is very active in what he does. He will slow down, though. I will use my journal for private things, too.
