Browsers
Browsers? Where is she going with the title being ‘•Browsers? Well, over the years, being a computer and electronic user of iPad’s, smartphones, tablets, and gaming consoles, I do have to admit that I have been introduced to many browsers on the World Wide Web aince the invention of the internet! Although I prefer being a user of Apple products over Windows products, I have knowledge of both Windows OS and MacOS, I have used a variety of browsers to do my searches on. What browsers do I know? Well, here it goes!
- Google Chrone
- Netscape — an oldie that doesn’t exist anymore.
- Safari
- Fire Fox
- Edge
- Opera
- Duck Duck Go
- Internet Explorer- what Netscapes turned into after Netscapes 4,08.
Now, if I missed any, please let me know. I’ve used them all and I do have to admit that I don’t have a favorite or can recommend what browser is best to use. I like them all and will bounce back and forth with my browsers because I want a variety of ways to search for pages sometimes. Is that silly? It may be silly, but my brain works in silly ways at times. What the heck, right? Oh well.
HTML
As far as HTML stands for: Hypertext markup Language and is a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on web pages. (www.google.com).
I learned how to use HTML from friends who made their own sites in the 90a while I wss attending classes at U-Rock College for a while. The internet was brand new to me and I wanted to know more about it. As the years grew to the here and now, I can say that I taught myself how to do computer coding and make my own pages on the internet. I still had help created my own personal page at one time, but that place has closed down a long time ago. When it came to HTML, I learned the coding along the way by looking at the coding of a specific way. That is how I taught myself the language of a site. A textbook will work as well, but I prefer surfing the web for what I want to look into and how to master what I like to do.
