What a fine day today was at dialysis. I practically got on 30 minutes earlier from my scheduled time and for once, I got home an hour before my original time being 3 pm. I got home at 2:25 pm today! Treatment went smoothly through to the end. My blood pressure went below 100/50 a couple of times, but I did not need any medication or be turned off to clean only for the first time in a long time. Dr. Anjum made his rounds to his patients and when he got to me, we talked about last Thursday’s experience in the ER with some humor along the way in our conversation about how my labs go each month and with Hemoglobin and Hematocrit checked twice a month. According to my labs, everything is simply fine.
Dr. Anjum and I discussed my situation I had last Thursday that took me to the ER because I had symptoms of an UTI. Well, tested by being cathed because I do not urinate normal anymore due to kidney disease. Dialysis 3x a week is also a sign that I am medically watching my health the best I can on a good day. On a not so good day, I still care, but I do not care as much as I should. I am glad I do not have many bad days these days.
