Dialysis went smoothly even though not getting on early was no problem. I got on by 11:40 AM today. I was put on by 11:45 AM today, and I am okay with that most of the time anyway. It is nice being put on the machine early, since I do not like coming here like I once did before 2022 and part of 2023 and have lost my faith and trust in MercyHealth system during their care of me. My feelings about MercyHealth have and will NOT change. It pains me because I have techs and nurses, I do trust and love. They have lost some techs recently, and that bothers me enough that I want to go elsewhere. The trust in my catheter care with MercyHealth is excellent as I love the team in radiology department of Mercy Hospital. My feelings about MercyHealth elsewhere are hard to explain otherwise. My caregiver does not trust MercyHealth anymore because her husband’s cancer treatment was not the best. The doctor and nurse told her to take her husband home to die when they chose not to remove a foot and ankle that was needed to be removed to prolong his life, but they did not listen to Jackie. Hearing this happening to Jackie, I became aware of how I was being treated by some of the nurses and those who say you are going to a nursing home because you need 24-hour care, which I did not. The 24- hour care was non-existent in St. Elizabeth’s nursing home. Nursing homes are becoming hard to find good nurses these days. The medical and judicial systems are broken these days. That is my thought 💭 of the day about MercyHealth.
Saw Dr. Anjum today for my weekly visit with my nephrologist—he is my favorite doctor in nephrology, even though I do not like what goes on in the dialysis clinic these days. My talk with the doctor was a good one. My labs are stable, and we are going to have monthly labs done on Wednesday. I have mixed feelings about getting my labs done, but at least they do not have to poke me. They can use my catheter to pull the blood for my labs. Phlebotomists cannot pull blood from the catheter, though. I find that a necessary thing they should learn or grab a nurse from the dialysis clinic to help pull the blood from the catheter. It is not that hard to do because the techs and nurses use catheters to grab the necessary blood tests.
