I have spent from Sunday to Wednesday in Mercy Hospital this week so I had inpatient dialysis on Monday and today. I do not skip treatment. I am supposed to dialyze 3x a week to have good sessions and effective treatment. Anyway, I met the inpatient dialysis nurses Kathy and Christy on Monday while being hooked up to the machine for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Monday
Treatment had to be stopped and a few minutes early because of clotting issues due to heparin could not be used. They were able to get 1800 kilos of fluid out of 2000 kilos.
Wednesday (Today)
I do have to admit that today’s treatment went smoother and I got through 2 hours and 45 minutes of treatment. My blood has been showing more red and not dark like it has been lately. Why? Because I am hydrated now!
After treatment today, with no need for another, 4th, colonoscopy and an endoscopy, My bloody stools cleared up with another cleanse for another colonoscopy if I was still bleeding, but I wasn’t. The blood was from the procedure and using heparin too soon after removing the polyp they found.
