Dialysis Update

Training For Home Dialysis Has Begun T o d a y !

From this day forward until October 31st, my caregivers and I will be going to Fresenius at 10 am to 2 pm  M through F except for a couple of days during the week due to other appointments, and one day I will be at the clinic at 8:30 am to 12:30 pm getting trained on the dialysis machine for the home. It will be sometime in November we will have the hemodialysis nurse come over with a team to check the water situation and where the best place to put the hemodialysis machine when in and not in use.

Pondering Time?? Yes…

As I sit here writing about this journey today, this is one large step we (Jackie, Deb, and I) are taking and we are ALL a little bit nervous as we sat in the small room talking while the nurse who is training us how to use and connect to the dialysis machine step by step, and clean my site under the bandage where the catheter went in and comes out of my chest. Yet Jackie is confident we can do this and we have more freedom to come and go where we can by the city bus or we walk while I drive my power chair all about the city like I do right now as it is, lol, I think we can do this, and if not, I will go back to Fresenius Kidney Care outpatient clinic where I am already very happy with. 🤟🏻😍

Dialysis Update

Treatment went from 10:45 am to 1:45 pm today, and I learned while I left that I only had my blood ncleaned because I was under my goal weight when I weighed in this morning. I was shocked at first, but only for a few seconds because the nurse training us, (bless her heart ♥️ for caring so much) I would not have minded that she pulled some fluid and toxins out of me, I was perfectly fine with her decision since she was training us how to use the machine, the iPad that has ALL of the needed information the machine needs. She even has the machine and blood pressure machine and iPad connected to find each other because of Bluetooth capabilities on the dialysis machine, the blood pressure machine, and iPad. lol, Jackie doesn’t like Apple products like Deb and I do. Jackie’s going to have to suck it up now! LOL!! So today was my first training seminar day for having dialysis in the home with hemodialysis! WHAT IN THE WORLD AM I DOING??!! I’m in trouble now!! All because I want more freedom in my life!!!

Missing Updates

Now, I know I am missing some dialysis updates at this time. They will be added to their respectable dates when I have time to post them.
