This is the first day of treatment—-a Monday with 1 hours and 30 minutes left of treat left for the day. I got here a little early today and will be done by 2:30 pm today. Exciting? A little bit. Anyway, I have Tiffany the technician and Tiffany the nurse as my people today, and sitting in chair #20 today. I love it over here. My chair #18 is where Tiffany the tech has put herself to work on her computer today. It’s pretty cool here today. I am comfortable here.
My BP had a blip over a half an hour ago at 200/100 and once again real high at a BP check at the thirty minute mark. Tiffany the technician changed BP cuffs to a smaller one to recheck my BP and it took it again. BP read high once and then read 113/83 before Tiffany went on her break. I have to sit still better today apparently, lol. The little orange cuff is on my arm again! Not my favorite color and cuff, too. Oh well! Ugh!
The door near pod #5 is busy opening and closing as technicians, nurses, and other staff members of the dialysis clinic come and go into the large clinic of 22 chairs and dialysis machines being used by patients here.
I get out of here between 2:30 pm and 2:45 pm today. Yay, a little early on my first day of 3 treatments a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. When I get home this afternoon, I have to call MTM to tell them about my need to schedule my colonoscopy I am having next week on the 6th, and Froedert is getting me prepped for it Monday evening, and I am NOT looking forward to it. I am scared to death about it to be very honest with you because it’s my first one and as a test to do to have my name on the kidney transplant list. Ugh!
