I do have to admit that my training for dialysis seemed shorter today althoug, to be honest, it was its normal 3 hour session. Maybe it was the viewing of videos with Debbie is what made learning how to do home dialysis a different way with the machine is what made this session go by very quickly OR the fact that reviewing the tests we (Jackie and I) had yesterday with Jackie was fun. Usually, taking tests in school and college were a bit more challenging at times. I don’t know anymore as taking tests today isn’t too bad these days. I want to do this home dialysis bad enough that I can taste that copper because I bit my lip too hard that it drew a little blood today sitting around. I guess I concentrated too hard, lol. I will be okay, though. Today’s treatment consisted of learning how to manually use the machine with bags of solution just in case the bottom of the machine is not working properly, and how we would do it when we are traveling. This is another reason why I wanted to do home dialysis with my caregivers if they were on it with me. It took my last hospital visit at MercyHealth to go to home dialysis and be free from medical rides for dialysis only, and use medical rides for appointments at the dentist, doctor appointments in Milwaukee. Now going to home dialysis training right now is what we are doing for the next few weeks, and my two caregivers Deb and Jackie, are learning how to use the machine for the home. Today we also discussed, without the need to have the machine with us while we travelled, Stephanie the nurse told us we can see about a dialysis clinic having a chair available for me as Well. That will work, too. I really wished that Jackie stayed for the entire meeting today, but she wasn’t feeling her greatest with vertigo the last couple of days now. Anyway… today, I dialyzed from 11 am to 2 pm, and home for the day and afternoon with Taco Bell for lunch and supper when I got home.
