Although I am 100% behind to get dialyzed 3x a week for beneficial and the toxins and fluid out of my body, having my days changed to accommodate holiday dates for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day closings of the holidays. It can be mind boggling and stressful at this point in treatment. Change and I do mix well at times.
Anyway, today, Tuesday, is my Wednesday, and the week continues on Friday—a normal and day I go since Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is the day I go for treatment. So, why do I have difficulty going to dialysis on another day on a different weekday or Sunday? Logically, I should be grateful that the clinic is open during the holiday season on a day the clinic is closed every Sunday otherwise to make sure the patient gets the treatment needed for the week. Umm, it is how I get to the clinic with a medical ride that is either not open on the holiday season or a Sunday. It is not an easy feat. It is also annoying when companies that schedule your medical rides make an error while scheduling. I also feel that the government having more control of my medical affairs is sometimes too personal. I do not feel I am treated as a human being but a number more so than anything. Money is what people want as well more so than anything else. Hmm? Do you get it now why I am a little miffed about my medical care?! Maybe…hopefully…
Anyway, today, unexpectedly, I got picked up at 10:15 AM, got to dialysis practically an hour early, and got hooked up an hour early from my 11:45 AM schedule. So, today, I will be done by 2 pm and not 3 pm. A nice holiday treat!
I have an hour and 19 minutes left before I am done dialyzing.
More later…
