**Diary Entry - This Week’s Dialysis Adventure**
This week has been a bit of a roller coaster with dialysis, but I’m happy to report it’s been more fair to good. Monday brought a pleasant surprise— the new scale at the clinic is finally up and running. Now, they can weigh me while I'm in my power chair. What a treat! I just need to get used to this new method after years of using my walker to climb the little ramp onto the old scale.
My routine has been slightly changed. On Monday, Wednesday, and today, I managed to get to dialysis almost an hour early and was out the door by 2 PM or 2:15 PM. That means I got home an hour earlier than my usual 11:45 AM hookup time. Recently, I discovered that my original on-time is actually 12 noon and not 11:45 AM. I wasn’t pleased to hear this, especially since I’ve been getting on by 11:45 AM since starting at the new Mercy Dialysis Center. So, getting on earlier than 12 noon most of the week is definitely an improvement.
Despite these minor victories, I've been quite unhappy with Mercy lately, so I’m always glad to leave as soon as I’m done. Fingers crossed for better days ahead!
