As I sit in the lobby to wait for my turn on the dialysis machine at Fresenius Kidney Card, I wanted to express my thoughts to you the best as I can even though I have a tendency to repeat myself a lot throughout my week of journaling. Please don’t mind me if I seem a little or a lot distracted at times and get going off the subject as well, too, ok? Thanks! Anyway… here I am expressing myself once again. From this day and onward, I will be writing On and off dialysis days when something dialysis comes about from now on.

Recapping the My First Day
I am having a good day at dialysis today. I have, at this time, 1:35 pm to 3:07 pm, I have an hour and a half. Where I’m sitting, the clock in my vision to the left of me a little bit looks different from the clock to the right of me, lol. I cannot believe I have been here dialyzing since 12:07 pm which is 30 minutes before my actual time of 12:40 to 3:40 pm on T, Th, and Sat. Coming here since July 1st of 2025. Coming here on my first day on my first day was exciting and fun more so than filled with anxiety and nerves. When I rolled on in, because I drive my power chair everywhere I go when I leave my apartment for the day. It works well for me. I was NOT anxious or nervous for the first time meeting new technicians or the nurses on my first day, either. I drove into the clinic’s lobby doors as if I have been coming here for a while and knew everyone. In most cases, that is unusual for me to be comfortable right away. My body did not feel out of place when I entered the clinic’s lobby. I just came in, settled my power chair in the lobby, took a deep breath, and their receptionist and nurse came out with documents for me sign my life away for my file, and tell me why I was signing the documents before getting on the machine. That was the beginning of my first day. Got on the machine for four hours and waiting for the machine to finish dialyzing and get off the machine, and transfer back to my power chair to get outside for my ride. My first day went well. I had no worries and I felt right at home on my first day. The next time I came to dialysis, I brought blow pop suckers to share with the patients and staff until they were GONE! lol .
