My colonoscopy had a couple of hiccups on Tuesday and Wednesday, so since I am in the hospital for Wednesday to yet have my colonoscopy done, I had dialysis at Froedert today. I went from room 18 on the 9th floor to the floor of the hospital to have treatment at their impatient clinic. Froedert does it a little different. The patient is taken to the clinic while they are in their beds and someone comes to bring me to the clinic. I was put in a large room with three patients at a time and the machines are on the right side of the patient’s bed. I was not worried about the treatment for the first time. Since I was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and diligent it getting a colonoscopy after treatment today.
While at the dialysis center at Froedert that took care of me was different than my regular routine and I was able to stay calm and allow the nurse who was taking care of me. Although I met the nephrologist in my room the night before treatment. Her name was Kristin. Apparently doctors visit their patients at the clinic on Wednesdays so my nephrologist who took on my case came to visit with me, and I explained about getting Cathflo treatment after each treatment to prevent any problems, and so she made sure I was taken care of properly. I was impressed and thrilled with the people working at the clinic. Instead of a tech today, I had a nurse taking care of me. She wasn‘t worried or concerned. Got on the machine 2 hours and 45 minutes and had 1.4 kilograms of fluid and toxins out of me before I headed back upstairs to wait for the second try at getting through the colonoscopy. Treatment went smoothly and I got done and back to my room at 11:15 am and back down to get my colonoscopy done, but ended up having an unsuccessful procedure the second time. One more night at Froedert before I can leave.
