Dialysis Update For Tuesday

Dialysis training is going smoothly, slowly but surely each day of learning. Nurse Stephanie and technician Rosa work with my caregivers, I do have quite a lot to remember to do my part by being there for my caregivers, too. Even though I have been through hemodialysis for 6 ½ years now, I need to know how I get hooked up or tethered to the machine 5x a week M—F for 3 hours a day, too. It is not that hard to learn how to dialyze a patient, but the process to do all the steps properly or correctly. I am always doing things in the right way since properly and correctly have two definitions that make sense in my research of writing properly. I literally hate being incorrect a lot of the time at my age of 55. Anyway, as my two caregivers and I are training on how to dialyze me 5x a week, eeek!, we are being patient with one another the best we can on our worst days, which are few in-between now and getting fewer each week now in my way of thinking, and Jackie says I am doing great or I am fine, I still feel I have a long way to go, yet. It depends on my mood from day to day now, and yes, I have been having fewer meltdowns lately.

As far as dialysis is going during training for dialysis at home instead of the clinic continues to move forward in my life, I do have to say that I am a tiny bit nervous for my two caregivers at some point. My patience does not get thinned too easily, but when it does wear thin from me, I do get moody and very impatient with myself and others quickly. I need to be left alone to sort out my feelings most of the time in my life and mind. I hate myself for allowing such an haughty attitude in my life altogether! That is WHY I left MercyHealth dialysis in June of 2025. I also left MercyHealth to have dialysis done at home ✔️…

While we are learning how to do dialysis in the home, Jackie and I have to abide by the rules given to me upon moving in, I have to make sure that getting the proper information is given to management to cover all of the bases of setting up the equipment in the home where it would be safest and properly stored. My place is not real big, but the right size for one person or couple, and two very active individuals we know as Magic and Millie kitties.
