Dialysis Update
Wed Apr 09 2025

I had Tanya as my technician today. I sat In my chair #18 today. Saw my neighbor Scott and Orville, and a new neighbor. A female patient. Judy, who I said hello and goodbye to for three weeks moved to T, Th, and Sat. I am going to miss her.

Anyway, I get to the clinic by 11 am and my tech Tanya (pronounced Tan yeah) got me on my machine at 11:30 am. I ❤️ it when they can get me on early. This 11:45 am to 12 noon time just makes it a long 2 hrs and 45 minutes for me. When the weather is chilly and cloudy, I could care less about getting in and out, but when the weather is warmer and nicer, I do not like staying at dialysis any longer than I need to. Once Friday comes and I leave the clinic’s floor for the weekend, I am out of the clinic until next time when Monday rolls in.

How was dialysis today?

Dialysis went smoothly and my blood pressure stayed above 100/50. My fingers in my right hand began to cramp when I had ten minutes left. Ugh! We got 2.1 kilograms of fluid out of me. I won’t argue with that.

For the week, yet Friday is my last treatment of the week, Dr. Anjum has not done his rounds yet at the clinic. He is a busy man. I hope to see him next week on Monday.

Today was lab day. My labs are good and fine. Even my phosphorus level is normal! My creatinine is still below 10. My diseased kidney still has a dribble here and there on a daily basis. My bowels have been better lately as well as I have issues with my bowels from time to time. Even after a bowel movement, I have a little urine come from the bladder. My caregiver Deb likes that.
