I have today created social sharing buttons which will be placed at the bottom of diary entries. This allows you, or your readers, to share your entries on various social media platforms, or other messaging systems. Currently supported is;
- Twitter (it's not X damnit)
- Telegram
If the entry is private, or you're not a Plus User, you will need to create the unique shareable link before the sharing buttons will show up. If you're a Plus user and the entry is public, they'll show by default.
If you don't want this on your entries, you can disable it easily using the Diary Settings (the little cog icon on entries, or your diary homepage) and take the tick out of the box as shown to the left.
The sharing text is set by default, but each of the social media platforms will let you change that text before you finalise the sharing.
I may need to add some additional metadata to entries for Facebook and Twitter to pick up some extra details. I'll look at that a bit more tomorrow though.
Next up, diary buttons such as Previous and Next. Possibly First Entry and Latest Entry too.
