A minor update has been deployed today which hopefully helps people find each other a little easier. The system was available in the original DD many years ago and has only just made it back into the current release! Slack, I know.
The feature I'm talking about is that when a user comments on your diary you can now click on their username and be taken to one of two places if they have a diary. For those users who comment on your diary that do not have any public diaries themselves there is no link since there's nothing to see.
The one of two places are as follows;
- The user has only one public diary then the link will take you straight to that diary.
- The user has multiple public diaries, then the link will take you to a new screen which will show you the different diaries for the user.
A couple more ways to help find each other will be released tomorrow 😛

the only thought that comes to mind: when someone commented on my entry and I want to respond on theirs's diary, won't it be confusing as to which do I chose for each time I'd like to respond?
Maybe, if when commenting, one can chose which diary they want to represent their voice?
Just a though, not request, let's see what others are thinking too. May be just me...:-/
For replying you'd be better off replying to the comment they left though - unless they opted out, they'll be notified of your reply anyway...
It would be a bit weird if I replied to your comment above by visiting your diary and leaving a comment on it by way of reply I think?
But it would be good for me to go oh, cool, there's MissTick, I haven't seen her in ages and I should go check out what she's been up to 😊
ok, you convinced me now...LOL...I completely forgot of the new feature to be notified for replies in comments! Duh!
