The sharp eyed among you may have noticed todays deployment feature...
Have a look around the site. Go on, have a little look. What is new today?
Yep - there's now some documentation on how to use this thing! It's only been nearly 30 years in the making... Anyway, thanks to Claude who can scan all the code and tell me what this thing does and how people should use it (I mean, I only coded it, how am I supposed to know how to use it too?) there's some helpful guides.
Have a look at them - especially the seasoned users please. Feedback is very welcome. Are they useful docs? Do they cover enough? (They probably don't cover everything, but hopefully enough that a new user can find their way around).
If there's anything wrong please let me know and I'll tell Claude to get his act together 😉
The other thing you may have seen is a small popup recommending Passkeys. This will only nag you once every 3 months (lol) if you don't set them up. There's no obligation to and if you don't want to then just dismiss the box. But...
Passkeys are a MUCH faster way of logging in, AND they're far more secure, especially if you setup a passkey then remove your password from the system. No-one can guess a passkey. If you do set one up though it's worth storing in iCloud or a credential manager like Bitwarden or NordPass or something so you don't lose it.
I shall also be adding Two Factor Authentication options in the next release (working on it currently) so that if you still want to use a password with your login then you can at least set up an Authenticator app to provide additional account protection in the event your password is somehow compromised.
None of these measures will be mandatory - but they are (or will be) highly recommended to help keep your diary safe!

Are you talking about the Help Guides? All I get is this message when I click on any of the options:
Hmmm, Oops! An unexpected error occurred
I tried logging out and back in again too 😫
Errr, yeah, Ooops indeed.
Fixed now 😊 Sorry about that.
Hey! That's a nice comprehensive list of guides! I may have to consult them from time to time when I get muddled up. Great feature for new users especially.... sweet!
If you think anything needs adding let me know!
