well i went to the car show yesterday up in Butler first of when i started her up the float in carb was stucking causing her to flood and not idle, so as any good mechanic would do i tapped the float bowl and it setteled down, (second time this happened) so of course i took off the cruise was about 10 miles away and she ran great. started up to leave and she felt funny starting just cranked too much but what to do, so i took off i figured i better try to get home about 1/2 ways there the float stuck again it was fine going down the road but would not idle when i needed to stop, that is fun, i did make it home with some bad words but we got home, too hot to work on it so i went to races.
Ok this morning i was too tired to go to trail i didn’t get to bed till almost midnight so after brunch i attacked her bad attitude pulled off carb again and cleaned float bowl and needle valve assembly put it all back together and it started and ran fine, now what bothers me is i did not find anything wrong i suppose a piece of dirt could have gotten under float seat and i just didn’t see it, i just have a feeling this story is not over i may be looking at oh i don’t know another thought i had was maybe that new fuel pump it making too much pressure i am going to order a fuel pressure gauge to put in the fuel line to see.
