This is my 1957 chevy sedan i have all the trim taken off and now it is a matter of sanding it smooth, at one time someone sprayed it with red primer and that was a long time ago and there is a bit of surface rust Showing so i need to scuff the primer and sand down the rust showing it is not real bad i can get away with 180 grit and that takes care of rust i did find a spot i think i need to fill it in with some spot puddy just a small part by the back window look like it was repaired there i just need to dress it up if i can feel it i think it will show up with final paint so i want to do as good of a job as i can, once i get it painted and trim all back on weather should be improving then it will need to go to exhaust shop to finish exhaust system then after i put some miles on it i will take it out to interior shop to have head liner installed then it will be done i will start taking this one to shows hopefully this coming summer.
Todays high is 18 degrees and a healthy wind chill the poor pellet burner working like crazy but can only keep it at 43 degrees in garage i have a propane space heater out there usually light that up first thing in morning along with pellet burner but i only run it for about an hour i don’t like working out there with it running i am done out there for the day i think. We got about 3 inches of snow last night and it was blowing pretty good, there was a breakfast at VFW this morning from 8:00 till 10:00 i wanted to go over just to support them but by the time i got driveway shoveled and my truck cleaned off it was almost 10:00 so maybe i might make the next one. 🥶🥶🥶🥶
