My fur babies are wonderful kitties at all times. I have a very hard time being a disciplinarian when Magic becomes naughty because he makes me laugh more than wanting or needing to correct his behavior. I guess I am an imperfect 'mommy' to my Magic kitty, then, huh? Maybe ... anyway ... I still love my babies very much, when it comes to Magic and Millie. I love them both equally, and I do not believe in loving Magic more than Millie, to be very honest with you and myself. Millie is NOT a cuddler like Magic is, and that is fine with me. Millie was very skittish when she first arrived on December 9, 2023. She does NOT like to be picked up and held, so when it is time to clip her claws, it is a big challenge to get her caught to hold her for a few minutes to trim her nails. Magic does not like it, either, to be very honest with you. My babies are very good at expressing their dislike of things. It is in their facial expressions, the way they meow at you or about something, and they just go their merry way in life from day to day, with and without you around. My cat kiddos are wonderful cats today! I love them both!!

Now, with that said, I want to share something with you, and I do have to admit that I do not talk about my babies too often these days. Their lives go from oone day to another in a routine of num nums when Deb walks in to give them a taste of pumpkin, get me to the bathroom and dressed for the day so we can get breakfast and go to the library dto take a book back I finished reading it, and grab another one to replace the returnned item. Well, when I was getting dressed and ready for the day, I saw Millie in the hallway by the door and kitchen looking my way. I told her that she was such a good girl and that I loved her, and the next thing I saw and heard was her meow back to me, her pleasure in knowing I am paying attention to her and not just her big brother Magic. She has been talking to me in response to my talking to her directly the last three days this week. I practically have tears running down my cheeks because I thought Millie's favorite person was Deb, my caregiver, and because my voice can be loud at times. Hmmm, I am NOT upset about her having her favorite person by any means, but now Millie and I are bonding now?! Yes, we are----slowly, but surely and I am OK with this 100%. Deb told me today that Millie is starting to trust me now., too! YES! I cannot love one cat more than the other because it would be WRONG!
