Magic and Millie get along most of the time, but sometimes Magic gets a little rough with Millie. I have to admit that I always remind Magic he can’t be rough with her. He always looks at me with such a pained look that I do not respond to but with an ‘oh well’ you have to be reminded of it every day from Auntie Deb or mommy is getting old baby boy. He meows his defeated meow and leaves the room feeling even more defeated and unloved by mommy that moment. He comes back to snuggle with me for a while and get loves, returning loves to me. We have this ‘be nice to sissy‘ every night before I fall asleep at night unless it’s a sleepless night for me, and I have 2 to 3 nights of little or no sleep.
With that said, I do have to admit that I am not worried about Millie taking care of herself when it comes to her brother who is three years older than she is, can defend for herself very well. I have seen her bouts with Magic once in a while and she can give Magic a good whack when necessary. Magic may not understand and wants me to coddle him, but I do not do anything but tell him, Millie is saying to you to back off. Good girl, Millie. Magic may not like mommy defending Millie during these bouts, but he eventually comes to me to apologize for his behavior and give me his loves, and give him kisses to him willingly. His kisses to me is where he puts his forehead onto my mouth and gets my kisses. He kisses me and kiss him, and he returns. Last weekend while I was on my iPad, he would come to me and put his forehead on my mouth and I would return a couple of kisses on his forehead, then he would put his cheek on my cheek to hug me. What a sweet little boy. Although Magic has always been a loving little boy, I wish that Millie would want to cuddle with me, too, but I can’t be a beggar. Millie has come a long way from being a skittish kitty because of her lifestyle out ion the streets. She has learned to trust Debbie H, my caregiver, and I can pet her once in a while, and we share a meal once in a while is good enough. She is still my baby girl. Magic is showing Millie it’s okay to cuddle with mommy the best he can. She sees him everyday, morning and night. I am ok with Millie liking Deb more for pets and grooming times, and her egg yolk or snacks and num nuts. Millie and I share meals everyday. Millie thinks she’s going to starve, but she will not ever starve. She hears her food dispense her breakfast, lunch, and supper every day at 7 am, 12 noon, and 6 pm. Magic anc Millie race to their food dishes for every meal.
Now, both kitties do not get egg yolk for breakfast every day anymore. Maybe a couple of times a week. Millie doesn’t eat all of her egg yolk anymore, and Magic will eat a couple big pieces and Millie will finish it. This morning my babies got to share a moist treat of a Fancy Feast flavor Deb let them have for breakfast this morning. They also got a bite of pumpkin this morning when she arrived this morning to get me ready for the day out.
