Eager Not So Much

When it comes to Millie, she has a fascination with a certain sound from my phone alerting me that Deb is on her way, parking the vehicle in the area of the building—on the street facing the back parking lot, and that she is walking in. I tell Millie of Deb’s arrival and walking into the building and once she hears the key in the lock unlocking the door to walk in to take care of everyone, I have to admit that her ability to remember is amazing. She loves Deb and has built a bond with with her within weeks of her arriving to live with me and be a sister to another cat who happens to be a boy—her brother whole is 3 years older than she is. After going through our morning ritual of Deb’s on her way, parking the car, and walking into the building, and she unlocks the door with a key, Millie usually runs to great her at the door meowing at Deb for her pets and pumpkin treat, but not this morning. She stayed where she was, on the cat tree watching Deb give attention to her brother Magic who greeted her at the door this morning and Deb walked into the bedroom to greet Millie who finally got up and greeted Deb and jumped off the cat tree to go for her pumpkin treat, lol. Yet, I love my baby girl for her abilities of a cat.
