Ever since Deb, or was it was Julie McCool, and Jackie brought this 5 month old kitten named Millie home to be a feline sister to my 3 year old boy cat Magic was somewhat of a surprise to me, I have seen Millie’s progress from her first day, week, and month here was slow, but promising that she was a keeper despite her fear of people. Well, today, despite the fact that both of my cats do not like strangers but will cling onto their favorite person of the hour or day no longer surprises me, I have found Millie’s actions of bravery non-existent this afternoon when Deb gave me my lunch of spaghetti. Millie meowed as she jumped up onto my walker, walked onto the bed to investigate the bowl of spaghetti and was practically in my lap as if she was going to miss a bite of beefy hamburger in my spaghetti sauce. Her, just doing something, Magic would ALWAYS do himself, had surprised both of us (Deb & I) we gave her our pleasure at being downright bold in her actions for the first time in her life. Despite the fact Millie was NOT disciplined for being naughty was a great pleasure for both of us. I was impressed with Millie’s catty attitude today because this was her first lap time with me while I was on the bed for the day. The only thing that Millie does that she gets a little naughty is scratch my furniture. I do not allow her to scratch my furniture because she has damaged my living room recliner one time to where it needed to be repaired and one of the arms needed to be replaced. I was not very happy, Jackie was not happy, either, and Deb had nothing to say because there was enough said about the incident. If my dad ever found out what Millie did to my recliner, he would be more upset about it with me rightfully so. Yet, I still love my baby girl.
