Day of Rest

It's 12:30pm and I've been trying to rest in between puppy chaos. I'm tired, and honestly, don't feel up to taking the dogs out on a walk with my dad. I'm hoping my dad will just get burgers for lunch, and then hang out for a few hours and then head out back home with Buddy.

I wasn't able to get much sleep last night, so I feel fatigued. I was able to vacuum the apartment and get a lot of the dog hair up so it feels a little fresher. I've got to get my apartment nice again for R to come over. I had been sick the past week and have let a lot of cleaning go, so I've got to get things back into order.

This morning, during times of rest for the pups, I've taken the time to read 2Peter and 1,2,3John and Jude in my Bible. I am finally at Revelation, which I have not read yet, but plan to. I wrote down some of my personal favorite Bible verses on a bookmark. Any verse that speaks to me, I write down on my bookmark.

I find it funny how when I am reading my Bible, and playing an audio book on Youtube to read along to, the dogs always quiet down and sleep. It's not just today. It happens to Wiley all the time. He never bugs me for attention during Bible readings. Definitely something powerful to calm even my dog.
