These New Days

I woke up to my dog whining, after my alarm went off, so I got up to take him out to potty. I got ready for work, and headed out. I left at 4:02am. I was actually not in a hurry and drove to work, got there 20 minutes early, so I just sat in my car to relax and unwind before work.

At 5am, I headed in. My coworker said he hadnt slept in two days, over his weekend, so he couldnt function and went home. So now it's just me and my other coworker.

My energy level is good. I feel good. I haven't eaten yet, but I brought 2 hard-boiled eggs for breakfast when I do get hungry. After work, I need to do laundry, and clean up around my apartment. I'd like to take Wiley out for a walk too. We'll see, but I do need to get him out and moving. I gotta get that puppy energy out.

Anyway, I'm on the restroom crew today and I'm just going to go through them and put effort in cleaning them real good. I usually make them acceptable, but today, I will do extra, so the supervisor has no complaints. Our supervisor did mention how the restrooms aren't clean enough, and it could be from the weekend because the coworker who went home sometimes gets lazy and misses important stuff.

It's after work. I cleaned the restrooms throughly, even cleaned the extra stuff that doesn't need daily cleaning. Then I got home and Wiley and I went for a walk into town. It's getting hot, so Wiley got tired pretty quickly. He doesn't do very well in the heat, but does just fine when it's cold out. I'll have to try to keep him cool during the Summer. It's getting hot pretty early in the season, so this Summer is going to be terrible.

Anyway, we made it back home, and he rested. I checked my mail and got the DVD from Ebay I wanted, The Hobbit. I'm going to watch it, drink the rest of my strawberry smoothie and relax the rest of the evening.

I don't feel like cooking up my Cornish game hen because it'll get too hot in the apartment with the oven. If I get hungry again, I may eat a piece of my eggplant parmesan. I do need to boil up a couple more eggs for tomorrow's breakfast, but I'll do that toward the even when the weather's cooled down.
