An Honest Introduction
Hello, my name is Kidelfox. I've never heard of this site until a friend recommended it to me. I originally came from Prosebox.com. I had been apart of PB for plenty of years, but I grew tired of the political far-leftist echo chamber, and I am hoping this website isn't like that, where people mostly just write about their own lives.
I bought the membership for this site(in order to be public) for a month so I can see if I like it or not, and if I do, then I will buy a yearly membership and go from there.
So to begin, I am Kidelfox. My name comes from combination of the phonetic alphabet letters K, D, and F, my initials or Kilo, Delta and Foxtrot.
I am a female who lives in California, which you may read my complaints about at times. I am no longer single as of May 1st. I will refer to my boyfriend as "R" instead of his real name to avoid any doxxing. Our relationship has been a slooow process. We've been friends for about 2 years before finally becoming official. R will be mentioned quite a lot in my diary, so any regular readers will get familiar.
I will be writing about my life and I hope you all enjoy reading about it. Be sure to comment!
This is a new crowd so I'm excited to see how things go here and hope they work out better than the last website I was on. I hope to acquire some new friends and hope to find some good reading content!

I can't say how people use their diaries, though most people are here for the 'slow lane' of the internet and politics generally doesn't seem to come up that much (thankfully).
Whilst we of course respect and support free speech, that must be without abuse - so if you see objectionable material in the public area please do let me know.

I am happy to hear it doesn't get too political over here. That's a relief. That was a main concern of mine because I felt on prosebox unless you had a certain ideology, you might as well stayed private amongst your friends and that was it. It's terrible.
It looks like you might be an administrator for the site? I'm glad someone like that is active and willing to help.

Well, welcome to DearDiary! I hope you like it here. Things are pretty laid back and I would say on the whole people do just write about their lives. I love dogs and will enjoy hearing about yours!
And you should know, Steve is pretty good about keeping an eye on anything abusive. And yes... he is a hands on admin, so don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.
