A Birthday Shoutout For Lon L Lawrence

I am acknowledging a birthday this evening to my stepdad Lon Lawrence today. He is 75 years old TODAY! Woohoo, for Papa! Wow, another birthday today! He has been my stepdad ever since I was 9 ½ years old — and I don’t believe he knows that his first birthday gift to me at age 10 touched my heart in a way on July 3, 1980! has NOT been forgotten since that day has been the day I accepted him as my mom’s newest boyfriend who stole her heart?! Well, that WAS a tough call in mind to make until July 3, 1980 to be very very honest with you. I did NOT like him at first because when my mom had to do what SHE HAD to do to make HER happy and move from Milton, Wisconsin without me and my brother Greg had n 1980 to Richland Center, I resented both Mom and Lonnie for a while and couldn’t accepted Mom leaving with Dad and his new wife Sandy to care for us kids for a while. Lonnie grew on me through the past 46 years as a member of the family. I did like his parents Thea and Lavern Lawrence a lot as well as his sister Deanna who is a couple of years or older than me. Anyway, it is Lon’s 75th birthday today and I am acknowledging it today because I do love him as my second father and has been officially married to my mother since 1993 when they FINALLY got married at the Church in the Wood in Wild Rose, Wisconsin.
