Export

You can export your entire diary as a file for backup or migration.

1. Navigate to Export (from the sidebar or header menu).
2. Select the diary to export.
3. Choose a format:
   • JSON — structured data, best for re-importing into another system.
   • Markdown — human-readable .md files, one per entry.
4. Choose a delivery method:
   • Single file — everything in one download.
   • ZIP archive — separate files in a zip.
5. Additional options:
   • Include images — bundle any inline images.
   • Include comments — attach comments to entries.
   • Password protect — encrypt the archive with a password.
   • Sort order — oldest-first or newest-first.
6. Click Export and the file downloads to your device.

Rate limits apply. Free accounts have a lower export frequency limit than Plus accounts.
