Summer Has Arrived
Tue Jun 22 2004

Summer is here, and all that comes with it. This year, summer seemed to have arrived with allergies that are seriously kicking my butt. I don’t remember having allergies this bad in several years. I’m popping Benadryl by the handfuls, and it is barely scratching the surface of The Great Allergy Itch which has made itself at home in my eyes, nose, throat and ears.

I daydream longingly of a bottle brush, which in this day dream I can use to scratch my Eustachian tube.

Calm down, I know better than to do that. It would just feel so wonderful to scratch the unreachable itch.

Of course, with downing all the antihistamines I find myself in the murky haze of drowsiness. I wonder if the intake of large amounts of caffeine will counter that? Another option is chocolate. It won’t counter the haze, but it’s chocolate, so who cares?

Meanwhile, the kids are up and ready for action. #2 & #3 have designs on the trampoline. #1 is hiding out in his bedroom with his Gameboy. I heard whispers of plans to go to the pool later, but after the last two days, the kids need a break from long hours in the pool under the sun.

Speaking of the kids… I got an e-mail from the Language Arts/Reading teacher #1 & #2 had this year. She wanted to let me know that the boys had really worked their butts off and brought their grades in her classes up to B’s.

YA-HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I’m looking forward to seeing their report cards for the first time ever. How cool is that?

I think chocolate is good for whatever ails you.
Except maybe nausea. But even then, given in the proper dosage, it COULD be beneficial.

In my world anything above a D- is cause for celebration. I would probably fall over in a dead faint if a certain 15 year old came home with a B.

Congrats to boys and congrats to the parents who worked just as hard to make it happen. :)

Sleep oh my sleep where fore art thou? I used to love to sleep alot for nine hours straight. It is good for the skin and brain. But I hardly get that now. The most will be 6 hours straight.

Way to go with your boys. Your motivation for them to study well is payin off.

    Orient:)

You talking about Counting Sheep or Chum Bucket?

I DID Chum Bucket and I want some kind of AWARD!
(what do you think of my review?)
The other one, I'll have to check out.
But I will say this. It's a challenge to read some of these sites and settle your emotional reactions down, and get to the meat of what is bugging you about them. I find it a worthwhile writing exercise. You want to pull your hair out, but instead you put down your words....

And face it, (even though we may be so inclined) you can't always be Mrs. Nice Guy.

    Give him both barrels!
Show him what good writing looks like!

    Write On!

    "Chum bucket"?

I grow more and more convinced that you people are talking in code.
