Darn
Sat May 03 2008

I have been watching the weather report all week, and was delighted to see that other than some early morning drizzle, today was supposed to have been dry. I had been anticipating getting my veggies in, weeding, and pruning trees today in addition to putting down the wood shavings I picked up yesterday.

When I left for work this morning at 6:30, there were some high clouds, but it was otherwise dry. I was a happy camper and my anticipation kicked up a notch or two.

When I left work at noon, it was pouring. It has continued to rain in varying degrees of severity ever since. #3 tells me that it started raining around 9 or so. Steady rain for the last 7 hours is so NOT part of my plans of working out in the yard today.

Darn.

Well, maybe it will dry up for tomorrow. I won't hold my breath, but I will keep my fingers crossed.

I suppose what could be considered the bright side is that being indoors helped me get caught up on laundry and a few other chores. There are a couple "big" chores I need to do, but I'm going to save those to do tomorrow should the rain continue.

Procrastination… thy name is Allimom!

Our weather is insane here. It was nasty, rainy, and dark all day then late in the afternoon the sun came out and it quit raining. Sunday is supposed to be nice but like you I'm not holding my breath. Hugs, Richard

Although I'm enjoying the warmer temps, it would be nice to have some of that liquid stuff down here. We're several inches below normal, and the wildfire season has already started down south.
