#2

Yesterday while at the Fair, #2 talked us into letting him get his ear pierced. When #1 saw that we agreed to this, I think he regretted spending his money on other things.

So #2 now has an additional hole in his head, and is quite happy about it. We explained the whole cleaning and 6 weeks deal, followed by the 6 month deal, and he doesn't seem to care about that at all. I'm of course overseeing his daily cleaning closely for the first few days to be sure he is doing what he is supposed to, then I will ease off and let him run with it.

Today after school, #1 approached me asking for chores to earn money so I could take him to have his ear pierced. I let him know that I would be too distracted with getting ready for my test Monday to even think about taking him to have it done before then. He seemed OK with that as it implies that I will be taking him after next Monday to have it done.

#3 hasn't said anything yet. I'm waiting to see how long before he starts asking.

Of course. When I put another hole in my head, my sister wanted one, too. Of course, my parents told her she had to wait to be the same age (14). She got it when she was about 11. I got a second hole a year later, and she was told she'd have to wait again until she was 15. She got hers at age 12.
