Soliloquy
Wed Oct 13 2004

Come on Allimom, wake up. You can do it... honestly you can.

No, I can't. Wait, let me rephrase that... No, I WON'T! I don't want to wake up! I want to go back to bed, and sleep for a few more hours!

Sorry sleepy-head, you need to be up and encouraging the boys to move faster towards being ready for school. They need you to keep them on track.

Why? I was getting myself up and out the door on my own when I was their age, surely they can do this themselves and I can get more sleep each morning!

No, they can’t do it themselves. And stop calling me Shirley!

Oh, alright. I’ll stay awake and get them all out the door. But then I’m going back to sleep! And you can’t stop me!

We’ll see. We will see.

What I can't figure out, is why it is that just about the time I get the hang of sleeping it is time to get up? Soooooo not fair.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your entries tonight especially the one about sleeping longer. It sounds similar to the conversation I have with myself most mornings. *Smile*

I like the greens and pinks you are using on your diary backgrounds. Very pretty and uplifting.

Why is it YOU and Hubby doing the work? Those boys are only four years from being an adult themselves. They need to take responsibility for themselves by this age. If they want to live in a mess then let them. They can experience the real world consequences. When they cannot find things they need, then maybe they will clean their rooms. You are not going to be there to clean their rooms for them when they leave home one day. They need to learn how to be responsible for themselves. If they know your going to eventually do it for them then they will never learn to do it for themselves.
